Children in Crisis Programme
YMCA Bangalore took up work with Street Children on a preferential option since 1988 calling the programme compassion and atmosphere for social adjustment, complete freedom and sense of belonging. Opportunities are provided to develop the self-respect, self-esteem and self-reliance of Children in Crisis so as to ensure a place with dignity in society. Keeping in mind the basic rights of the Child-Right to Survival, Protection, Development and Participation, in the context of Street Children through our four main components - Shelter, Exploitation, Prevention and 'Children in Crisis'. The overall goal and aim of this programme is to provide shelter, love and Rehabilitation.
