Right to play & Recreation’

The 29th Annual Summer Camp which commenced from 10th April 2013 to12th May 2013 at YMCA wherein our children were admitted to the Camp and were given coaching in Cricket and foot ball, 20 children each from Dream Home and Murphy Town shelter. The children readily joined these camps and at present the children are practicing these respective games at the centre.

Medical camps are organized regularly at all centres with the support of the Doctors from Different Hospitals and Corporation Health Centre. Pulse polio Immunization programme was organized with the local Government health Centre for a week at YMCA Doddigunta Centre.




YMCA Bangalore organised a Kids Fest (Right to Play, Dance, Sing & Recreation) on 12th December 2013 at City YMCA Grounds, for over 300 Street children. This is an attempt to ensure their Right to play and participation. The Programme commenced with an Invocation Song by the children of YMCA Shelter and the Inauguration was by beating of drums by the Chief Guest Mr.Syed Ulfath Hussain, I.P.S¸Inspector General of Police (Administration), Govt., of Karnataka. Smt.Indira, Programme Manager, ICPS, Department of Women & Child Development Govt., of Karnataka, was the Guest of honour and   Dr.P.Sethu, Chairman, YMCA Task group SADWI Presided the programme. There were around 20 Fun/Progressive games for the children. Fellowship Lunch was followed by a Cultural Competition; the children actively participated and bagged Prizes.
